Can you guys beleive that S2000 is NOT on Road & Track' Best 5 Convertibles List on July issue and the Miata is. I think it is because the divide price categories poorly.
The Miata is in the up to 25k $ and the next category is the 25k $ to 50k $. The 'vette was the pick there. I think the 'vette is a great choice but what happened to the 25k to 35k, or even 45k?????
List is as follows:
Mazda Miata
Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
BMW M3 Convertible
Porsche 911 Carrera Cab.
Ferrari 360 Spider

I aggree, it would make sense to have a under 25K, under 40 and under, oh, say 100K.
Given those categories, the S2000 wins hands down in the under 40K. I took the Z3 for a test drive and did not like it; more of a cruiser than a sports car. The TT is reskined VW Golf, so skip that one. My score card has the S2000 winning in a walk.
