Rare doesn't make it an exotic. As much as I love my s, the 458 is in a whole other league of vehicle. Think about how rare a Ford Pinto is nowadays. I don't think the words "Pinto" and "exotic" have been in the same sentence till now.

Rare, high-end (hand built), limited production, not realistically attainable by the middle class consumer, you will not find used exotics on dealer lots next to econo cars.

if the price was much higher and the badge was different, leaving everything else the same, you could make the argument that it's an exotic. the stupidity that is humanity.
