So, rather than build new sports cars, Honda will just rebuild the old ones.

Porsche, BMW, etc do it, but they also make new cars. I'd never thought of reconditioning an S - lots of aftermarket options to make the car more to my liking..

After 80k mixed street and track miles, my car has an oversteer issue that every major s2k shop (Evasive, West End, Rising Star Motors) in SoCal has been UNABLE to diagnose. Worse yet, the problem is only manifested when driving the car at 9/10ths or higher. It cannot be tested or diagnosed under street driving conditions. I am more than willing to pay a premium for a guarantee that my car will be restored to its original condition. I'm not looking to "improve" the car with aftermarket parts. I want the car to be back to how it was before the issue started. And yes, all shops I have visited are aware that I am willing to replace any and all defective/worn out parts they find.

I have two options at this point: replace all suspension components or replace the car.

I read through your thread. You have a track car with 80k mi on it and you've yet to refresh/update it, so you have degradation. You can refresh/improve the suspension for a lot less than $11k Honda would charge, and get better components in the mix.
