Default Honda Refresh Program

At this point, I'd gladly pay 10-15k to refresh my s2k. I have over 80k miles on my CR.

http://www.honda.co.jp/NSX/refresh-plan/menu/index.html (Will need translation... chrome does a great job).

Funny part is that the suspension refresh is over 2x the cost of an engine refresh...

That would be cool to see an S get a full refresh! I wonder how many NSX owners are willing to do that?

If I got a refresh I almost wouldn't want to drive it. I would probably just stare at it for a while.

Then I would drive it.

Ouch, try converting the prices Yen to USD.

If you're willing to put up that type of cash, I'm confident you'll find someone here who'll do the work for you in terms of interior, exterior, and engine refresh

Brilliant marketing strategy, one day Honda will offer this to the S2000.

Let's see... first NSX 1991, first S2000 2000...

9 more years and the refresh program will be available to us!

I really don't see the point in this. Essentially you're replacing factory parts in a bundled it. Why do that when aftermarket in the US is considerably better and cheaper?

$11k to do the following?!

Auxiliary engine-related parts replacement
<replacement part>
cylinder crank sensor, expansion tanks, water hoses, belting, water pump, Kamushiru, spool valves, engine mounts, injectors, fuel hoses, starters, ACG, cooling fan motors, EGR, EGR pipe, EACV, O2 sensors and wire throttle

$24k to do this?! Yeah...no

Major component replacement suspension
springs, dampers, suspension arm bush type, compliance pivot, ball joint, knuckle, wheel bearings, rubber engine mounting, drive shaft ASSY, CALIPER ASSY, brake discs, brake hose set Master Cylinder

My moto...don't fix what isn't broken.

Let's see, or I could take my '91 NSX, sell it for say $22k, take the money that I would spend on this and buy an '02+ NSX or '09+ GTR. Yeah...that sounds like a smarter idea.

It's a way for Honda to push parts...not buying it.

Honda has offered this service since the inception of the NSX; it's not something recent.

After 80k mixed street and track miles, my car has an oversteer issue that every major s2k shop (Evasive, West End, Rising Star Motors) in SoCal has been UNABLE to diagnose. Worse yet, the problem is only manifested when driving the car at 9/10ths or higher. It cannot be tested or diagnosed under street driving conditions. I am more than willing to pay a premium for a guarantee that my car will be restored to its original condition. I'm not looking to "improve" the car with aftermarket parts. I want the car to be back to how it was before the issue started. And yes, all shops I have visited are aware that I am willing to replace any and all defective/worn out parts they find.

I have two options at this point: replace all suspension components or replace the car.
