Default Honda needs to take a few pointers from Audi...

Audi is already working on an RS version of the new TT that's going to have an additional 100 hp under the hood. FYI, the normal TT is going to have 250 hp, and the RS is going to have 350 hp.

For all those out there that keep making excuses for Honda not making a Type-R S2000, FU

its an improvement from the old TT and its more the the s2k. honda increase displacement and drops the redline, only to get tiny amount of TQ.

so the TT gets a 100 hp increase with a RS version and honda gaves us the CR with a big wing.

I agree with that, it's nothing special for a V6 to have 250 hp, in fact it's really sad.
Now 350 is pretty impressive. But as far as making excuses for Honda, nah. Honda has an amazing motor with their F20C and F22C1. Why would they want to get rid of it?
There's no doubt they could come out with something much much better, probably even than that Audi you're talking about. The opportunity just hasn't come yet. Honda has always been more than raw power anyway. They focus on the entire driving/racing experience, and I love it!

RS won't be 3.2 but 3.6l V6.

You want a type R S2000, drop a supercharger or turbo in. This has been an easy option, and will be 10K cheaper than this 350HP TT.

the only thing type r has over the base models is a small upgrade package, higher compression and wilder cams.

250 hp is what the base TT always needed, and 350 hp in a year is a great offering in that car, no matter the engine displacement - it will be a blast. I think the criticism around Honda is its "flagship" performance car is slower than a factory-modified Civic, and that's well justified. Honda could have turboed the S2000's engine or done something to keep it ahead of the pack, but hasn't.

I'd much rather live with the S2k's poorer power/weight than with the TT's massive obesity (we're talking CAMARO weight) and transverse-engine-in-front-of-the-front-wheels fwd architecture (ewww).

Try a quattro - they are awesome. Also, they're 3,200 lbs - not Camaro weight.
