Reuters reports:
TOKYO, June 6 (Reuters) - Honda Motor Co Ltd, Japan's third-biggest carmaker, said on Wednesday it is recalling 100,571 cars in Japan to replace wheel bolts at an estimated cost of 1.8 billion yen ($14.98 million).
It is checking whether any of the defective cars were exported.
They were made in Japan between January 9 and April 20 and cover 19 models including the 660 cc minicars Life and Vamos, the compact cars Logo, Civic and Stream, the sport-utility vehicle CR-V, the Accord sedan, and the sports car S2000.
No accidents have been reported resulting from the defect.
Tyres may become loose or even fall off because of poor quality lug bolts which were improperly made, it said.
