i have a 02 s2000 with 25k miles, called up the dealer to see if i need a maintenence check up and they said i hadnt got the one for the 10k or the 20k and reccommend me to get the 30k now, i asked because my maintenece sign on the car lit up......well all there really i think are doin exept inspeting is that there doin a oil change and fixing the valve timimg or something, not even sure, so lemme know if i should get it done or not, cuz it is $439...

no. all you need is an oil change and i'd change the diff fluid. should cost no more than $100. dont pay them $400+ to do a "30k service"

Just do your regular oil change / filter change and wait for the 30k service when you hit 30k.

where should i get the differential oil changed from?

so...how about the 45k service? i remember looking at the list of stuff they do, and it seemed pretty lengthy. but it was also cheaper than the 30k one by about $100. i haven't had any routine maintenance done on my car since i bought it (37.5k miles, 44k now) except an oil change at 41.5k miles.
