There I was driving home last night from SEMA, and when I was almost home, I heard a noise that sounded like I was running over gravel. I disregarded it and continued home. When I was back in Fremont, I noticed that there was no BOV sound any more, and even worse, the supercharger whine was gone! I thought it couldn't be a loose hose clamp because i would at least still hear the SC whine. The worst it could be was the pulley on the crank snapped off like it did the first time I installed it. My first SC crank pulley was manufactured incorrectly and the piggyback pulley for the SC didn't sit flush on it. After about 20 minutes, the bolts failed and the pulley fell off. That was fixed and it has been fine since. So when I got home, I inspected the engine, and as suspected the belt was gone. It had left behind shredded remains and was twisted up in quite a few places. The bad thing is that when the belt shredded it hit the air control vacuum reservoir and ripped off one of the hoses. It wasn't the valve, but the hose that is on the back of the tank providing positive manifold pressure but no vacuum (it has a check valve on the hose). Ugh.. the belt is only $12, but honda parts has no idea what the heck i'm talking about when I make reference to the tank. The part # isn't in the helms manual either. I have 16.7k miles on my car, the supercharger was installed at about 3.5k. Anyone else have belts fail yet?

Yup... I have had a belt come off just recently at the track. And before that a belt skiped a notch on the drive pulley and partially shreaded. In both cases it caused damage to the hood liner. BTW your description of the sound is spot on.

I had a belt come off at the track as well. It didnt do anything other than tear up the hood liner. I was fortunate enough to not have anything else break when the belt shredded. Also you may want to try http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j.../catdisplay.jsp and see if they have any reference to the part you need.
