Holy Insurance!!!

One of the few benefits of getting older ---
My insurance dropped quite a bit when I turned 50 ---
Six months costs about $400, and I carry a lot of insurance.
My S still costs almost twice as much as does my big, heavy pick-up.
Around here, though, nobody steals pick-ups .....

I'm going through Allstate and have a few vehicles insured through them. I have a ford van, 94' honda civic hatchback, and finally my s2000. According to my policy, I'm actually paying more for my civic's insurance than my s2k. civic is costing me $416, and suprisingly my s2k costs me an even $400 every six months. I know that sounds crazy but heck, I think parts for an older car costs more than a one year old sports car.

If you go over your alotted mileage, they will not refuse your claim. The claim will be taken care of without problem. My agent said your premium will change immediately though. She also said they don't even really check the mileage. I guess people will rarely get a request in the mail asking for the current mileage on the car. Nobody actually comes out to look at it. I guess you could totally lie about this if you drive more than 7500 miles a year and save youself some money.
