Default Holy Insurance!!!

I am so surprised about the insurance on this car, I'm speachless...

I'm 25 and male and my previous car (03 Maxima) costed me $84/month for insurance.

My new rate for the S2K...

$92/month!!!

The big difference being, I told them it will be driven less than 8k miles a year and that helped knock it down.

Thank You Allstate!!!

check this link too-- not everybody likes Allstate, but YMMV.

as a reference and bit-o-trivia, a friend of mine drives a Viper. dude pays $10/day for insurance. yup, you read that right: $300+/mo.

Yup yup, New Jersey insurance, gotta love it

Hoping when I get my s2k it will be relatively inexpensive to insure, being a second car and only driven a max of 7,500 miles a year.

Heres hopin...

My insurance only went up $15 / month going from a '93 Lincoln Mark VIII to an '02 S2000. Both are / were daily drivers.

I hate all of you !! JK. I have quite a few discrepancies on my DL and I pay as much for my ins. as I do for my car a month . . . I too have something to look forward to my next B-day though.

Let's say you drove it 9000 miles in one year and had to make a claim at that point. Are they really strict on that?

I can't wait for the 25 break. The insurance on my old car dropped by half when I turned 21. The S will only cost about $140 a month. I'm still 21 too.
