Default Holes for Front Lic. Plate

Tried to search for this one unsuccessfully so if anyone can just point me to the appropriate thread that would be great...

Just removed my front plate (car looks so much better without it) and have 2 questions:

1. My dealer installed plate has made slight indentations in my front bumper. My guess is there's nothing I can do to fix that but would appreciate the ideas or suggestions from anyone with experience.

2. How do I cover the screw holes (4) for the front lic. frame? Is there an oem part I can get from the dealer?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

YES!!! Go to HandA Accessories.com

They have the bumper plugs for around $3-4 each! I had to order them back when I had my '00 and now again for my '02! Dealers just throw them away!

Oh well, our part in helping the economy!

Airgate

Thanks for the quick response and love the silver!

As an aside, did you secure the side grills with just the adhesive or did you augment with screws etc? I used just the adhesive backing (put them on yesterday) and am still uneasy about them falling off.

Kirk,

Check out H and A (One of our sponsors) for the plugs. They come in the exterior color of your choice.

I too have slight indentations where the dealer torqued down on the license plate frame a bit aggressively I think your right, not much we can do unless you wanna take it up with the dealer.

I remove and replace on a regular basis. You don't wanna get pulled over because of no front plate after a few beers, so when concerned, I'll put it on

Gotta love Pennsylvania, the land of no front plates.

As for the plugs, I asked my dealer for them back in 2000 and they just reached into a cup under the counter and gave me two red civic ones, for free. The color isn't a perfect match, but you can't tell. Might want to try that before paying for them.

And same thing here in Tennessee!!!! If I knew I was going to be in Tennessee for good, I would have body work to fill in the holes and paint (then I wouldn't need plugs)....but unfortunately I can't tell the future. Later, Kevin

Not to take away even the smallest business from Trevor, but just go to your dealer and get free plugs, even if they have to order them. God knows every single dealer made more on the sale of our cars than anything else on their floor (well, I don't know what the markup on the practical Odyssey is) And complain about the bumper indentations and have it replaced at their cost.

I'm having a bad day....................
