But not for towing very far, just to tow the thing onto a flatbed truck.

I don't think so. There are some metal loops under the car that Honda uses to attach the cars to the ships from Japan to the west coast ports. I think those are what I would use to secure the car to the flatbed truck.

I'd get OEM if it were me.
