I traded my Scoobysport WRX Wagon for an S2000. I also owned a Legacy GT Wagon and am a Subbie fan in general. I just love Subbies, so the advice I have is that it's pointless to buy a WRX and Mod it. A WRX with Mod's still won't be an STi.

If you intend to lease a car, the STi is too expensive to lease, and I'd stay with the S. It all comes down to how much practicality you need with a car.

Do what I'm doing. My wife's in the baby-making phase and I refuse to give up my S. So, compromise, buy a beater 4 door. That way your S doesn't have to be a daily driver and you have 4 doors to make the wife happy. No compromises. I think mine will be a Frontier 4 door, just so I don't have to borrow anyone's truck anymore.

Not really true...should be reworded to 'say hello to a new tranny every couple of months when you drop the clutch at 6k'.

I also had a 350+hp wrx. Sure it was a blast to drive, had the best exhaust rumble ever in a 4 cyl. I still remember the first day it came out of the shop. Boxer rumbles are to die for. I digress, in the end I didn't need a 4 door sedan yet, and needed to start saving for a house. That wrx was a money pit, it kept telling me to mod it. Its not the best looking of cars. It needed $$ to make it look good. Had close to $20k into that thing. Figured it would be cheaper in the long run to get a car that was already pimp (s2k). Kinda like Ron Popeil says, set it and forget it. That's why my s2k is still stock after almost a year...This site however is making me go nuts though. Making me want this and that.

Good luck with your decision. Either way you can't go wrong.

Well I have a 2002 S2k

My wife wants me to trade her in as soon as I get her out of the body shop for a WRX, I test drove a WRX and lets just say it was nice, but I like my S so much better..shes trying to hype up the WRX saying that I could easily mod it to be pushing 350hp + that sounds nice, but im not sure if I should....

What do you guys think ? WRX or S2k...(not STi)
Whered you go!? Whats the final decision!? Well... IMO the WRX has NO interior... the WRXis NOT comparible to the S2k... (Sports car vs. econo box)
If you really feel the need for a Scoobydoo... get the New Legacy... it at least L@@Ks nice. And has 250 hp! All wheel drive, etc.

My S2k is in the shop because some jack arse in my complex backed into the rear i have only had the thing for like 3 weeks. I think my wifes motive for me buying a WRX is the last time we were driving downtown, this car load of blond teens, were all hollering at me with my top down...."hey baby.." She says it attracts to much attention and Im a married man..blah blah blah... Oh well I was loving the drive of my S well at least for the 2.5 wks I had it before it went in the body shop...

Did someone say Kids.....hey guys dont jinx me... We have her 99 Si for that....
seats 4 but 2 doors...

I will tell ya one thing...I have never been happier with a company...HONDAS are the best..!

If you already have another car at your disposal, then keep the S.

The S2000 is a great car, but there are lots of valid reasons that could justify moving to a WRX instead. So, do what works best for you... And best of luck with it.

Also, I'm just whoring this thread to say that I also have a '02 S2000 (bone stock sebring silver with 66k miles), and want to sell or trade it. If anyone in the SF Bay Area has a WRX and is interested in trading, shoot me a PM, I'd love to listen.
