sorry to jack your thread but is there any dual exhaust that sets off car alarms without giving you a headache?

i have the berk test pipe on mine... it does sound a little ricey once in a while... i like the sound without the test pipe better.....

it might just be the test pipe but there's like a rattle sound when i keep the revs at and around vtec... (i have my vtec set at 5500rpm) so when i'm at around 5300 or if i barely tap into vtec and let off the gas to slow down the sound is really annoying.... and since i downshift before coming to a redlight i experience this a lot.. ... other then that it sounds really good.. if you're pushing the car it's just awesome..

I have to disagree about the HKS with the testpipe. I doubt the testpipe brand makes a difference, but I have a T1R with my HKS and there is no way it made it sound more "ricey," if anything it made it definitely sound less ricey IMO. With the testpipe the exhaust no longer has the same monotone sound over the entire RPM range, now the exhaust sounds more like a 350z or G35 (maybe not the best example, but it is hard to put sound into words) where the exhaust has more of a pulse to it with a gurgley sound and rumble when you hit the throttle instead of the same RRRRRRRR like a civic or integra. You have to hear it in person to know what i'm trying to say, it sounds really good with a testpipe, and anyone that has heard my exhaust has given me compliments on it.

some have shown to actually loose power. i like the exhaust though. t looks great and has a deep tone unlike most other fartsy exhausts.

My HKS seems to drone more after it gets hot. Especially if the engine is working hard like when you are going up a hill. Under 4k its pretty loud, about 4k its quiet.
