Default HKS Hi-Power Dual Exhaust

Ok, I was walking out of the gym tonight and a fellow owner talked up to me and we started talking about our cars. He mentioned that he had a brand new HKS Hi-Power Dual Exhaust that we is looking to part with. He said he would let it go for about $700, which after some research seems to be about 150 bucks cheaper then what most internet companies are askin for.

Does anyone have one of these and if so, was there any power loss compared to the stock exhaust? Also, I watched the video in the S2000 exhaust library and it seems raspy in lower RPM, was that the video quality or is that the acctual sound. And, how bad is the highway drone? Preciate it guys!

I JUST got it installed today, no raspyness at all, and I have the megan racing Test pipe, really deep and a unique sound, very amazing sound. As far as power, I can honestly say I didnt feel anything like I did when I got my Spugen Single which I recently sold. I will be making a video of the HKS soon, and I will post it up in the gallery

Half of s2ki has it , myself included. IMHO, the best sounding exhaust for the s2000. Doesnt make much power, but the sound is to die for.

well thats promising. The guy has one on his car so think im going to go for a ride with him to hear it.

The exhaust can install right into the stock headers as well right? Im just worried about the overly raspy sound that a lot of the ricer civics have around here. Thanks for the input! Does anyone has videos other then the one in the library?

There is no civic buzz at all. It sounds really nice. Make sure, if possible, to go for a ride when the car is cold. Sounds even better.

How much should i expect to pay for install? And why does it sound better cold is there a reason. I guess that is my biggest complaint about a lot of after market exhausts is that they sound like crap until the car is warmed up.

I guess im just so skeptical cause ive been saving for a new clutch so I can get it before I move into my new place and rent goes up. I cant say i HAVE to have the cluth right this second but i can tell im going to need it within the next 10k miles or so. Exhaust wise i was also looking at the Fujituba legalis dual R. How would you guys compare the HKS to it?
