HKS exhaust notes mellow out over time

You stated that as a fact.. care to give an explanation?
Nick gave me a rational explantion for some change in tone and I can see the logic in it. My experience is that any change is very subtle.
I didn't know you had an HKS. What is your basis for this comment?

no, it's not as raspy as it used to be when i first got it.

Seriously...
I think you do get used to the sound a bit, but I know the GReddy PE I had on my GSR did mellow out a bit and sounded a lot lower and meaner after about 500 miles than when I first put it on. I remember reading somewhere that at least THAT exhaust needed a good 4-500 mi. break in. But what do I know?
