HKS or Comptech?
Im trying to decide which exhaust to get. I have road in a stook that has comptech and it sounds so nice. Im not to worried about noise, but i want the one with the most HP gains.

I don't really mind noises, but i don't want to be spending a whole lot of money for exhaust. I mean if HKS is 900 and gains 3 hp and say a spoon is like 1400 and gains 4 hp its not worth the extra 500 for 1 hp. Im not sure these are the prices, but i am just giving an example.

I personally think the Comptech exhaust if higher quality than the HKS. Comparing materials, the Comptech is 100% T-304 stainless for better durability. The HKS uses aluminized steel pipes, which will eventually develop surface rust, but I believe the mufflers are made from stainless.
Having not heard the HKS in person but from sound files, I'd have to say that the Comptech is much deeper and lower pitched. The HKS sounds more like a sport bike while the Comptech sounds more like a race car.
I don't think you'll get any major performance gains from any aftermarket exhaust (Honda did a great job designing the stock exhaust). However, you'll save some weight with an aftermarket exhaust. The single exhaust systems will probably provide a bit more of a performance gain, and weight savings, over a "dual" exhaust system due to the small size of the engine. If you reduce too much backpressure, you can hurt performance. I think Honda went with a dual-outlet exhaust mostly for looks. However, going with a single-outlet will leave you with an empty area where one of the exhaust tips used to be.

well... exhaust won't give u much hp gains.. pro 2-3whp at the most.. so u have to decide wut kind of exhaust u like.. do u prefer a loud sound or a deep tone.. if u want a loud exhaust, look into Spoon, Amuse, J's and HKS.. if u want an exhaust with a deeper tone, look into mugen, comptech..

I own a pair they are way lighter than stock, and a much nicer sound.
The HKS exhaust is made of SUS 304) stainless steel muffler Two stainless exhaust tip configurations are currently available: 120mm and 96mm.
I really like the sound, nice tone at every level of RPM's, yet not too loud at max RPM or speeds. It's not a fart tip by any means, I have heard josh3io's Neuspeed Exhaust and SilverSurfers old Comptech both sound great, I happen to like my HKS, and have been complimented on the road by people saying my exhaust sounded great.
