Default Hit the dyno today....

Put in my Vafc last week and wanted some dyno time. I put down 209.02 hp and 143.02 tq. All I have done for bolt ons are: short ram intake, comptech exhaust and a megan test pipe. I have a 2000 S2k btw.

Does that seem about right what do stock ap1's put down. He said my air fuel was pretty much perfect so we didnt mess with that. All we did was set vtec to 5600 which made the best overall power compared to the other runs.

209whp seems fine. one of my friends has the same as your setup and also generated 209.

when i dynoed my S i got 212whp from aem cai, j`s headers and catback and t1r test pipe. what i really noticed as improvment from stock is the midrange punch. the power band got stronger before v-tec.

Just curious and search for "dyno" and all are getting between 200 - 231hp. Majority (90%) are in the 200-203-204 brackets. I don't know what the heck the other guy did to attained 231hp by just changing K&N filter. I am not excited getting 200 to 205hp. My old 1991 Mr2 turbo gotten 238hp (bone stock) Oh yeah, the filter is K&N too.

By the way, I posted a while back "if possible to harness 25hp in aspirated form?" I've been told its possible but not likely. The way I look at it, the S2000 engineers utilized the maximum HP it can produce nothing extra or to squeeze out. So, that's it!

Well yes, its a turbo. You cannot compare NA VS FI.

The 200+ range is great for a car without alot of mods.

You are losing power with the short ram intake, and Comptech exhaust is pretty much worthless when it comes to power making as well.

And Lotus7racer doesn't know what he's talking about. If you got a high end header like the J's, and a single outlet 70mm exhaust (and put on your stock intake or get a real cold air one), you'll be near 230.

I have a Simota cold air intake for sale for 95 shipped. You'll probably get to around 215 with it since you are heat bogging your engine pretty badly with that short ram intake.

Im running a basic ebay pipe with a k&n intake. It was done on a mustang dyno. I dont want to do cold air because I fear of hydrolocking. Basically got intake for the sound. You dont gain much hp neways
