I think leaving the scene of the accident was a mistake. In America, dogs are considered family and if you hit a dog on the road, you should stop and see if the dog is hurt and if it is, check the tags and call the owners.

When my little puppy min pin ran out of my house inbetween 2 people and got creamed by a Minivan, the people in the Minivan stopped and helped look for my dog for a couple of hours. That's what good people do, IMO. I did find my puppy an hour later trying to dig into my yard and by some miracle all he had was road burn and smelt like a car tire.

3 months later, the Minivan mom came back and asked us if her kids could see the dog they hit, because the kids didn't believe the dog survived and actually cried about it. The little kids were so happy to see my dog healthy and happy.

 

i guess i really am that cruel and heartless...the only reason i would stop if this happened to me is to get the owners information so i could file a claim against them...i know, im such an asshole

 

The dog is probably at home on his dog forum like "Holy shit, hit a S2k today. Dull pain in left front leg, s2k got the worst of it."

yeah i was...i managed to slow down to about 15 and i just kinda kissed him in the ass or maybe foot. kinda sounded like i hit a cone at autox. he didnt even break his stride, just kept on runnin off into the woods. i pulled over a couple corners later and there wasnt even a mark

not really.hit an average sized dog at almost 60mph and thats the damage I would expect.
