Hit a Dog
So I was on my way home at about 6 o'clock PM, and in my area, it already feels like midnight at that time. I was going down a pretty open one lane road going about 50-55 mph, speed limit is 50, and right in front of a church a dog decided to jump into my headlight/passenger fender. It totally destroyed my headlight, fender, bumper, and lip. The dog had the body structure of a pit bull but was slightly bigger. It was hauling ass! After I hit it, I proceeded to say "Oh SHIT!" and went home, which was around the corner, mainly because I didn't know what to do, but to also check out the damage. It was a lot worse than expected. I assumed that the dog died instantly, so I came back to drag the dog to the curb in a different vehicle, but when I came back, it was gone.
The good news is that I get to replace everything, and get rid of the crappy bondo work that the previous owner decided to do, the bad news is that because it is that I need to come up with $500 for the deductible. I haven't called the insurance company yet, I wanted to wait until after the holiday weekend to worry about all of this. I have only had my AP2 for about a month and a half, and this happens. I hope the insurance doesn't decide to salvage my car, they shouldn't, but it still worries me.
And now to the pics!!

Sorry to hear about the accident. Don't worry though. It is not going to be totaled. I got my car back from the shop two days ago after hitting a deer. Resulting in the exact same damage as i can see on the picture. Bumper. headlight. fender and new emblems. The total repair was $2300 with a $500 deductable. Repairs took less than a week.

This screamed troll to me. Regardless it will defiantly not be totaled. Expect a body work estimate of around the neighborhood of $3k using a $48 insurance labor rate.
