High Beam Bulb Replacement
Can anyone give me a step by step....the Helm manual is lacking. Specifically what holds the bulbs in place? I can get the connectors off and there feels like a rubber boot. I know this can be done without removing the headlights......but anyone got explicit instructions? Thanks in advance.....
Note: Hard to believe all the HID light comes out of the small lamp cavity isn't it.

I don't know how big your hands are but I can basically stick my hands or fingers through the hole and get the halogen plug first then pull off the rubber cover slowly, there is a little metal pin type holder to hold the halogen bulb in place ... Push it down and move it out of place and the bulb should be quite an easy access. It's H1 55W by the way.

I replaced my hi-beams with halogen whites and while the difference isn't earthshaking, it is cool that the white of the high beams matches the low beams now. I so rarely use the hi-beams anyway, it's not a huge deal, but I"m glad I did it.
And Kazumori-san has it right. I simply couldn't get that damn blasted paper clip on the driver's side off. Brad was over one night and I asked him to try to get it reattached and he was able to get it. There isn't much room at ALL on the driver's side. The passenger side is very easy. And yes, I removed the overflow container...
All in all, a good change. Essential? Nah, but I'm happy with it...
