Default HID Bulb Upgrade

I wanna have my 06' S2 upgraded the HID bulbs with brighter color? What you guys recommend?

The OEM 4300k is the best, anything over and you loose visibility.

I know guys that run Silverstars. They seem to lke them very well.

When HID first came out for rally lights, they were too blue and the lack of contrast was despised by the drivers. They settled lower in the range towards orange and stayed there for a decade now. The silverstar is for the brights not the HID.

There is no upgrading the OEM HID's.

Actually, I remember a post somewhere on here of someone upgrading to a 50w HID system (vs the OEM 35w). It looked pretty good, but I can't find it. If I do, I'll post the link.

ive done it, and hated it and now im back to OEM, and i will never, ever, make that mistake again.

Don't fall into that trap. 12000k (kelvin) for instance indicates color temperature not output. Your stock capsules (not bulbs) are the best you're going to find. The colors you see from oncoming cars with HID, especially BMW, Audi and Evos are seen as the upper beam cutoff flashes past your eyes. The real color is near white.

how about the high beam>>> is it ok to change it with and put HID on it??
