Anyway if you can help me try,so i can post pictures to this tread. If not i can send pics by mail.
Hi guys.I know this should be under the hood selection but I thought it would interested you.I bought the CDA SP-04 from an ebay auction on ebay.de for 244euro and +20 for shipping, tops 270.I wanted to buy it in Greece but it was 480.I said no way.But ebay is ebay.
The performance is great,It has a great howl and above 6000rpm it gets mad. There is a noticeable improvement between 2900 to 6000.in torque.
You can see their dyno on www.bmcairfilters.com
But there is a downside on this.Everybody who has an s2000 must have opened the OEM airbox, and you can hear that light humming sound the car make at idle,And when you put the panel back on its gone.
Well the humming sound is on with this Airbox.I don't know if this is the case to people with CAI?But the pros are, the box is carbon and looks awesome in person(I didn't like it on pictures before I bought it also but the carbon has its persuasive powers)And the howl is so sweeeet, not to nasty not to quiet, just like proper F1 car,or I could compare it with the sweet sound an titanium Akrapovic end can makes on a bike, quiet at first and trilling as the revs go up.I forgot the goooop is very nice when you push the pedal(to max) at low revs(2500-5000).
And also I especially chose this airbox cos there is no danger of water being sucked.
Since I started the other things I done is the custom dead pedal that cost me 20euro.
And I Made a custom X-Brace from aluminum.
For those interested Its made out of 25mm pipes with 5mm wall. The pivots are custom made and the only hollow place is just for the new bolt and head, the bolt fills the hole completely,no empty space.
In my opinion the x-brace is very rigid.cos of its size and the thickness of wall. The welding cost me the most. This X-brace cost me a total of 60euro not considered my labor, fuel and pivots.
And on the end.
I have a mugen oilcap,CF MG RACING STB to match the BMC CDA,
Custom made roofwell mat, very, very soft.Red calipers,Installed and made myself red leather console,And 3 piece black floormats with a huge red s2000 on the bump place.
If anybody wants more pics of the X-brace or BMC or anything else,Just send me a mail at stefce@hotmail.com
I could make a audio file of the CDA but I don't know how to post it.
I still have the only S2000 in Macedonia,so you can see thats not easy to have access to tuning.
Thanks for reading and it will be a long time before I post again.
