Hesitation on full acceleration?
Yesterday my S hesitated! I made a slow right turn in second gear and, after straightening out, floored it. Right around 5K, the car began lurching like I was running out of fuel or the injectors were clogged! Here I am waiting for VTEC to kick in and ???
I eased off the throttle and then tried getting back into it, but it happened again! I took it easy til the next light (about a mile down the road) and then nailed it in 1st and 2nd with no problems. I've tried recreating this problem but the car is running fine.
Anyone else have this problem?
If I take it to the dealer, they'll probably tell me to get lost because they problem won't occur again.
Additional info: I use Chevron 93 Octane, only have 2K miles on the car, and haven't really abused the car in any way.

My guess is the cars temp. wasn't at 3 bars. When I got my car, I did the same thing not knowing of the rev limiter coming on when it wasn't warmed up. It scared the hell out of me. It felt like I hit a stump in the road. Hopefully this is your situation.

My vote is on the 3 bars with this one, those damn things are tricky sometimes.
I was going togo driving the other day. It was nice and cool out and I let my car warm up to 3 bars, I got in and was ready to have a little fun. Just before I hit VTEC (about 5k) my temp dropped to 2 bars and rev limit nailed me.

No, the car was completely warmed up. It was 1pm in South Florida and I had been driving for about 20 minutes.
I'm taking the car to Braman tomorrow to align the driver's side roof latch...I'll see what they say.

You might want to check your plug wires. I had a problem with my other car and that's what it was. The plug wire popped up and was making the car hesitate when accelerating. Hope it's something as easy as that.

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I can't technically explain what happened, but it does happen when you give the S2000 a little gas, then try to punch it and the car stalls on you. Try running a search for the answer. Or ask xviper, I believe that he knows what I am talking about.
