I don't see anything unusual about this trend.

Most vehicles sell more in the first few years then trail off. That is typical product life cycle behavior.

As an owner, I think it is a good thing that there are fewer than 10,000 made in any given year.

Is there a source for that graph? Or did you make it up yourself? There was no attribution, so I have no idea where the data came from. Also I don't understand how the % change was negative from 2000 to 2001 while the UNIT # went up significantly.

MrClean did the graph him self in Excel, I think. It's based off the data I posted at the very top of this thread. You're not quite reading it correctly - the percentages are on the right side of the chart. What you're seeing is that the percent increase in sales from 2000 to 2001 was less than the increase in sales from 1999 to 2000. But it was still about a 40% increase.

Just like 2001 to 2000 saw a 0% increase.

Thanks. Now I understand. What threw me off was that you called your numbers "sales" figures, while MrClean called his "production" units, hence I did not make the connection.

Well fellas when I bought the car back in 2000 I was told that the car would only be made for two years and that there were only going to be 5000 cars made a year.
