Help us Muz, you're our only hope!
Muz,
any chance you're ready to make one more S2000 mat?
Over in this thread:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=24090
25% of respondants indicated that they are running without the spare. That results in a trunk/boot that looks like this:
I, for one, would jump at the chance to buy a Muz Spare Area Mat that lined that area, making it presentable and preventing items stored in there from getting scratched and rattling against metal.
What can we do to convince you?
Thanks,
Ted

Ted, why don't you go and get some carpet remnants and cut to the shape you like. Use some heavy duty double-sided carpet tape to keep it in place. Also, if you put the cover back on, you'd have a 2nd SECRET COMPARTMENT.
Sorry Muz, not really trying to impede your business. I'm sure if you did it, it would be far more attractive than what any of us could do on our own. BTW, your floor mats are holding up fabulously. Next winter will be the real test.

David,
I think you answered your own question: it would look much better if Muz did it.
I'm not using the stock cover because it juts out into the trunk and reduces the maximum size of your cargo. But I bet Muz could come up with a flat vertical panel that could be held by the stock fasteners that would hide the contents of the spare area without sticking into the main trunk area.

I saw the plea for help, thought WTF?... and dashed straight in here .. LOL
Re: the pic... the floor is very uneven. The RH side would be easy enough but that LH side where it's curved and stepped presents a problem. How to deal with it short of creating an actual molded piece is something I'll have to talk to my trim shop guys about. It may be that a different backing needs to be used and/or a softer carpet but somehow I think it's a difficult one.
I will find out and let you know if it can be done. Molding would be far too expensive for such a limited run item.
BTW...are those 2 black squares pieces of Velcro?

Our savior!
Thanks for jumping in, Muz.
The black squares are rubbery pads that the spare partially sits on.
You're right, the floor is uneven, and poses some difficulties. I'll have to think about that a bit.
Let me know if you need any more pictures.
