HELP! Seat Lowering Question
OK, I just had the 'seat lowering' modification done to both driver and passenger seats by a quality auto interiors shop (they've done this mod to a number of S2000s). The procedure involved lowering the seat pan about 1/2" (reweld bolts) and cutting out a 12"x12"x1.5" section of foam from the back of the underside of the seat pad. Here's the problem. The seat contour seems very uncomfortable for me now. There seems to be a raised ridge in the middle of the seat cushion running from side-to-side. My question is how much foam can be cut from the center portion of the seat? Anyone have experience with shaving this ridge section. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I might have to have my seat lowered. I'm 6'1" and a lil over weight. It is near impossible for me to heal toe. Under normal driving, my theighs are about 1/4 inch from the bottom of the wheel. Tilting my legs or feet in anyway, im stopped by the wheel. It really sucks. I felt like I had more leg room in my miata. Sad..
