Default HELP PLEASE!

I went to put the top down and the driver side clip poped off fine, but when I tried to open the passanger side it was stuck! The little piece you push even fell onto the floor...

I have an auto-x in 2 days and I don't wanna do it with my top up and Honda service is closed until Monday.

What do I do to put the top down or get the latch un-jammed? Has this ever happened to anyone?

IDEA OF WHERE IT IS JAMMED CLOSED

Did you try holding onto the grab handle and yanking down on it while you attempt to unclip the remaining latch?

1. Your title needs to be more descriptive so it doesn't blend in with the thousands of other threads entitled "HELP".

2. Your description of the problem needs to be more details so that you can convey to those who read it can tell what exactly you mean by "stuck". Is it the release button on the latch? Is it the actual latch itself that won't pull down? Is it the hook that can't be dislodged when the latch is already down.

OK, now we might have something to work with.

That button pushes in on something to release the whole latch from the closed position. To find what it pushes on, go to the one you are able to unlatch and look at the inside of it. Work the button and you'll see what has to move to release the lock.
1. Can you try to put the button into where it fell out and manipulate it to make it push on the slider thing?
2. If (1) won't work, can you use a small think screwdriver or rod to get in there and make that slider slide? It has to slide forward to release the lock so that the latch can be pulled down.

Once you have it open, a couple of screws may fall out. Try not to lose those. You can use the good side as a guide to put the button back together.

I'll look more tomorrow because I don't have the car around me right now but it is JAMMED. Like it won't even budge in the slightest. I'll try that stuff tomorrow... Anymore ideas if those don't work?

If you can't get that latch to come down, you won't like the next step. You'll have to remove the plastic trim pieces around the striker and remove the screws and take off the striker. If you pry on it to get it off, you'll damage something and will most likely have to replace the striker and remove all that stuff anyway.

Meanwhile, make sure the screws the hold the button in place on the good side are tight and do that one back up so the top is under equal pressure being held down.

If it is not locked in flush, then it'll have problems locking. Maybe your top is not all the way up so the other side can't unlatch?

In my video below you can see how my driver side (is broken as well) comes off with just one finger and no pushing of that button. BUT... the passenger side takes a whole lot of effort just to pull it off and the button does NOTHING to help it...
