Help! Oak-sap droplets all over my car!
I was on a 2-day break, and had to park under a large oak tree, which left about 2 million super-small droplets of sap (or something) all over my silver S2K.
Sliding my hand over the hood and horizontal surfaces feels almost bumpy. It's on the paint, the glass, and the rear plastic window.
Any good ideas on removing this from everywhere? Hint - less work is better folks.
Will a good sudzy carwash soap work?

Thanks.
Yikes - I was hoping someone would say: "no problem - just use this magic material -it'll take 10 minutes - and it won't strip off your wax!". Sigh.
Any other ideas?

I had a similar situation a few months ago. How difficult it will be to remove is directly related to how long it's been baking and how hard it's gotten.
Warm water, car soap, and a soft sponge should be used ASAP! Wash a few times... Then maybe a clay bar...
This is what Larry Renolds, proprieter of "carcaronline.com" advised:
[QUOTE]I would use P21S Total Auto Wash (citrus degreaser) mixed 1 1/2-2 cups per gallon of water.

Thanks very much - sounds like a lot of work no matter what I use.
pfb: Any ideas on where I can buy those products (TODAY!)?
I want to take care of this after work tonight (my wife's offered to help, so I want to take advantage of the offer).

3M Adhesive remover is also for tree sap. After your done I would suggest an immediate sealer/glaze + wax. I think it also strips all the wax off. Available at most auto parts stores. It will also work on windows.

The local trees up at work are showering mine with the same tiny droplets every day. Feels all speckled. But I've just been wiping it off with a quick Z-6 touchup every couple days. Comes off quite easily I'm sure due to the fact I'm not letting it stay very long and I have several coats of zaino making her nice and slippery. So I'd try just a plain wash first and see if it comes right off.
