Was an oil change included in the service when you had the clutch done? Did you check the drain bolt and filter to make sure they were there? If no, when was the last oil change/check prior to this?

If I would have done something to the car and I new about it I would not be asking what can i do, because I would assume my responsability the questions I am asking its because I don't trust what the dealer is telling me, and they would not show me a record or a written statement on what happen

oscar, sorry but there is nothing anyone can do for you unless you help yourself too. We all are guessing at what the problem is. It is clear you don't know and the dealer who told you it was over reving the engine is not willing to show you the proof. I don't want to sound unhelpful but you need to take this issue up with Honda. Untill they prove to you that you screwed that motor they can't back out of the warranty. Let us know when you get it resolved.

Also if you want people to be able to help you I suggest you write down in exact detail how this happened, when and what you did what speed were you doing, what gear were you in, smells, smoke etc. Untill you give all the details noone will be able to help I think.

How bout go to the dealer and explain you need their explaination put into writing. Another owner posted a good point, the 15,000 RPM seems odd and a little hard to belive taking your details (though slightly unclear) into account.

Simply state you need solid evidence to present to Honda care so both sides can get a handle on what went wrong. The 15,000 number seems too even to me. In a case like this I would want to be matter of fact and exact. Was it 14,990? 15,003? 11,345? ....You get my drift.

Once you have the exact RPM claimed to be last recorded by the ECU, further help can be had here. To get an understanding of what the dealer is suggesting caused the problem, search the site under "mechanical over-rev" Or just "over-rev". This should give PLENTY to read and get an idea of what they most likely think happened.

Also when you get that exact RPM try to get specific details on what happened to the block or any other parts claimed to be damaged.

Also, Has the dealer taken a look into the head of the motor?
