Default Help..My driver-side head light housing is keep fogging up..

Hi
About 6 months ago I installed smoked diffuser on my housing.
It was fine for last 6 months but few weeks ago driver side started to fog up.
So I took it out..heated the housing..put some more silicone around the housing and put the headlight back to the car.
And again it started to fog up again.
Is there better way to seal the housing?
What should I use to seal?
THANK YOU

Only two ways to fix it that I know.

1. Drill a small hole in the plastic lens

or

2. Replace with new OEM unit

Are you using the right silicone sealant?

In 1984, I had a Cadillac Seville with that problem and the dealer drilled a hole in the lens. It did solve my problem. -Ken

The small hole would allow for the disipation of condensation but I'm not sure if I'd recomend it.

The sealent you should use is Permatex 16B.

Most autoparts stores will carry it. Doesn't necessarily have to be Permatex, but any 16B sealant should work.

I'd recommend picking some up and pulling the entire assemble apart and resealing it. Don't be afraid to use the entire tube as long as you don't goop it up where it's visible.

check the seals for all your lights....

it could be that one of the turn signal, running lights, or high beam seals got breached, dirty or loose.... that would also allow moisture in.
