Everybody has their own opinion but Rio was the obvious choice for me. Between my wife and I we've owned 3 red cars, her current black SUV is a nightmare to clean so no thanks to that, neither silver from Honda looks particularly good to me (no offense). I think my second choice would have been white. Blue is way too light for this car and is about the only color I really couldn't live with.

Are you really so worried about what "someone else" thinks about the color of your car? If you really are going to worry about it, buy a vanilla color, like silver.
Leave the best color to those who know it's the best color. For anyone.

I have yellow and love the color, but there are pros and cons to the color.
Pros: Stands out (if you want a car that stands out), and you'll never get lost in a parking lot.
Cons: On a real sunny day it hurts to look directly at it, and flies and knats flock to it.

Yellow is a really sporty color, perfect for our car. Every notice that 9 times out of 10 you see a picture of a lambourghini, its yellow?
I was very apprehensive about buying a yellow s2k. I wanted either silver option, but the dealership made a deal too good for me to pass up on their last 04 s2k, which was rio yellow.
1 1/2 years later, i have no regrets at ALL. in fact, i recently saw a laguna blue s2k, and it didn't even make me slightly jealous

The S looks great in yellow. Shows off the lines well and its relatively easy to keep clean (never noticed more bugs on my hood than I have with cars of other colors).

The 5 stages of Rio:
1. Ecstasy. The color does something in the sunlight that makes you giddy, even though your left hemisphere tells you that, as a male, you should know damn well that black is the most beautiful and sublime color any car can be. The Rio infatuation makes your heart pound and you quit thinking rationally. Mild dry mouth sets in, accompanied by a ringing in the ears. When you regain your senses, you're half way home in the car with a signed purchase agreement on the passenger seat, flapping in the breeze.
2. Worry. Is that a *@&^$ scratch? Jesus, I've only had the car 2 days and it's got a #&$% scratch?! For the love of @$^%&* ! ... Oh. Just a strand of cobweb.
3. Doubt. Saw a silver one today that looked verily wicked. And I had a black one reserved in the first place before I saw the Rio. Why didn't I just stick with black? S***, am I really a yellow car guy? Who am I kidding? Screw it, I'm not going for a drive today.
4. Rescue. This stage usually occurs the first time you do a full detail on the car, including polish and wax. The Rio POPS even more than the first day you saw it. It's infatuation all over again, and that leads finally and permanently to....
5. Reconciliation. I am Rio, hear me roar.
