Wow, guyz thanks for all the information. I have been out of action for quite some time now! Appreciate all the help. I will probably do this on my own, the shops not gonna be liable for it and told me to take care of it, thats B-U-L-L S-H-*-T! But oh wells, Now i know...if i need to do any custom work that involves the air bag, I'll be sure to ask in advance and bring this situation to the shop. Thanks again!

Unlike other warning lights, the SRS light does not clear once the fault is remedied. I forgot to plug in one of the seatbelt pre-tensioner SRS connectors when I was installing a rollbar, turned on the ignition to raise the convertible top and triggered the light. Even after the seat belt SRS plug was inserted and the car was restarted multiple times, the light stayed on.

I cleared the light myself with the generosity of a board member that let me borrow his reset tool. There's a specific sequence to follow, and it could be done with a simple jumper wire, but the tool makes it much easier and makes it less likely that you'll short out something important.

RE: the jumper. u can make one for 1 cent.

get a paper clip - straighten it out bend it in a U. The tips of the U should be the distance between the two sockets that need to be connected together. for better control wrap some masking tape around the saddle. The clip is solid enough so the wire won't stray. but can easily be bent and shaped as needed.

Cost? Zip, Zero, nada.

The paper clip does work, or you could spend a couple of dollars and get some wire and a switch. The switch version will make it a little easier since with a jumper you have to put it in, take it out, put it in, take it out within a certain time frame of flashes.
