Help on convertible top cover.
The two tabs on the back of the top cover keeps popping out after I take the S up to freeway speeds. Has anyone experienced this...and what was the fix if any?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I just read recently on this board that someone put extensions on the tabs to help keep them in. Others said once the boot cover warms up it stays in better. Haven't noticed myself.

Someone commented recently about having this happen and said the dealer readjusted the top so it went down further. I think the post was about a week or so ago. I haven't had this problem. You may want to search "convertible top" or the like on this forum.

Check the service bulletins in the library on this site. TSB 38 is what you're looking for. Of course, I have that same problem, but my dealer said the TSB "did not apply" to my car

Download the TSB and do it yourself. All it takes is a phillips head screwdriver, a 12mm crowsfoot, an d a lot of patience. Unless the guy at the dealer has done it a few times, he won't get it right. Too high and the problem isn't solved; too low and your rear window gets distorted. I' ve tweaked it 3 times and finally settled on 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches on the measurement spelled out in the TSB. That's about 1 inch lower than suggested, but it works and does not overly crease the window.
