I'm not sure what you mean by "license" but you're right, my estimate is not exactly correct. I completed my purchase last week, and it was more like this:

[CODE]$32,600.00

You paid too much for the dmv fees. They should've been $260.00 plus $5.00 for the tire fee. Tax should have been $2731.16 for a grand total of $36101.16. Pretty close though.

CBeyond, folks,

I don't think anyone mentioned this earlier, but in Massachusetts, you have to pay an annual property tax (called "excise" tax). This is not related to sales tax. It's a sizeable chunk of change for the first couple of years.

I don't recall if CA had anything like this -- of course registration fees in CA were much higher than MA.

Robb, excise tax might be relevant to you in VT. Not sure.

Best wishes!

My 2002 s2k has two options that I believe were so called dealer installed options. I purchased my car used with 511 miles on it. I'm trying to find out as much about this car as possible I called Honda and they told me which dealer the car was originally delivered to.
Does anyone know what the front OEM lip and the rear OEM spoiler cost when put on a new car?
Also if anyone could run a car fax report for me would you PM me for my VIN? I would really appreciate it. So far my car has been totally trouble free and a joy to own and drive. It is my only vehicle and I drive it every day.
Thanks in advance for any help with these questions!

Tire fee (maybe a california thing??) was $5

Sorry for the delayed response.
What are the tire fees for? Are they to clean up the old junkyards that are full of old tires? Or is it just another excuse to tax?
