[B]Yes it is possible. Here is the pic of my brake calipers that were cad plated. Ideally it is done to new parts since they must be perfectly clean, so often they try bead blasting and an acid dip, but the vanes will be hard to clean. The plating itself is usually not too expensive, maybe $15 per piece with a minimum $50 batch charge.. it is the cleaning and any masking that is more costly.

Your calipers look great I'll have them, thank you!! what have you done with your rotors though? as at the moment its only my rotors that look such a mess, the calipers are perfect in their origional state(for how long I dont know). When they do go rusty I will forward my address so you can send me your wondrefull ones!!!

The calipers won't rust but will turn a dirty color if pushed to very hot.

I painted my rotors (edges that is) with high temp aluminum paint which unfortunately cannot standup to the heat generated at the track.

I am considering buying rotors that are both cad plated and cryo treated.. one example: http://www.appliedrotortechnology.com/

cdelena thanks for the info I would be intrested to hear your comments on the alternative rotors if and when you get them. BTW did you replace the caliper seals with new ones when you had them CAD plated?

Yes, since they were torn down completely I bought rebuild kits for each to reassemble.
