Default hello everyone! not an s2k owner yet.....

I've been around the forums for a couple of months so far and i finally decided to register I currently do not own an s2k which I own a 2002 acura rsx-s but plan to sell or trade in for a used s2k. I know most of the things to watch out for and to ask about the car. I really really want a my02 but finding but i will have to wait about 3 or almost 4 more months if i get a my02 since I'm only 17 and working about 70 hours a week but hey I make 10.21 an hour My other option is to get either a my00 or my01 but i will have the plastic rear window which i will probably see if i can convert it to glass asap. also about miles would you guys buy an s2k if it had 93,000 miles? I'm always looking at miles at my current car which really bothers me if I have a lot for some reason but????? and yes I will be watching out for the rear end and will be going to a good driving school and also will attend auto cross. hope to have an s2k soon. thanx

You may want to wait on this new car, as you may find your insurance rate to be very high on this car for a 17 year old driver, or have you got a quote allready? I would get the newest one you can afford, if possible. Good luck.

I agree, insurance is killer for young drivers. I'm still not completely out of the category yet.

What driving school(s) are you going to? I went to both Skip Barber and Bondurant....enjoyed them both immensely. I would recommend Barber for a good starter school, do their 1 day program.

Actually, I'm 17 and i am paying 198 a month for my new MY05 s2k. My insurance rate is actually a tiny bit cheaper than my 2004 civic. But i do have the following discount on my car: Good student discount, Drivers Ed discount, Multi car (3) discount, and home insurance discount.
