Default heads up

Don't take your car to dealer with a cel light on if you have an intake or any mods to the motor.

Having quickly scanned a few threads that Will has been involved in, I "think" that he may be expressing a policy of HIS dealership where he works based on recent events. This, however, does NOT represent the overall policy of EVERY dealership in the country as I have seen many, many reports from owners with stuff like CAIs and after market exhausts get engine warranty work done. It all depends on the dealership and how they relate to their customers.
If this is indeed the policy of Will's dealership, I wonder if he would mind posting up the name of his dealership? Does his dealership practice "sado-masachistic" suicide?

You shouldn't highjack someone's thread but I'll answer your question anyway.

The installation of a CAI WILL NOT throw a CEL IF you don't get your hoses and check valve screwed up. These are the causes of the CEL in every case. If the CEL comes on, it's because you installed the CAI wrong.

You NEVER ignore a CEL. You don't have to "go" anywhere to turn the CEL off. You can pull the BACK UP fuse to reset the light, however, if you don't correct what's wrong, it will just come back on.
