Default Headroom: soft top VS hard top

I'm curious which top gives you more headroom. I had just enough room with the soft top up in the S2k I drove last spring. I would imagine the hard top would have at least as much headroom, if not more.

HT has at least as much space. I'm afraid I can't answer any better than that since I haven't had the hard top off since summer.

I believe you have more headroom with the hardtop. This question has been asked before - did you try searching?

Minimal increase, it's more perception though since there are no visible bars and it's a smooth surface inside with the hardtop.

HT has more headroom. The covering in the HT is about the same height as the fabric on the convertible top. You gain the room otherwise occupied by the metal ribbing that supports the soft top.

I don't know the exact volume changes, but it certainly feel roomier with the hardtop.

slight more roomier
instead like the soft top which stretches the rag over cabin
the hardtop is more of a cap with a slight indention underneathe
