Wow. That's really bad luck, Al - after you spent such a wonderful day out with us, and showing everyone what a beautiful S2K you have. I'm so sorry to read about this, but I'm also very glad that neither you nor Linda were hurt at all.
Just to console you - after a front and rear collision a while ago, my S2K was all fixed and looking like new, within 4 days of sending her in for repair. As Honda stocks the panels and body parts in L.A., you'll probably be burning rubber again, in no time at all. (I don't know if it's at all possible for them to miss doing it, but make sure the bodyshop will be applying a nice new clear coat to any panels which are going to be repainted.) Everyone will be looking forward to a post from you soon, telling us you're ready to 'fly' again!

Oh shucks,
This is something I really did not want to hear from a well respected individual such as you. I feel so sad that something like this had happen to you.
Hope you get your SK back to normal soon so we can continue on the project that I have talk to you about.
Take care Prolene and I am very relieved that you are alright.

Thanks everyone for the support!
The wheels are fine and the accident happened the day after the meet. I went out for a late afternoon drive since the weather was so nice. Happened close to home and Linda drove up with the kids after I called her (she's great).
I took it to McCurdy's in Pasadena yesterday with the heater going full blast to keep the car from overheating. Probably lost a majority of the coolant on the way; good I had fresh Mobil1 in it. No more than 3 bars on temp.
Visiting the shop and talking to Bill McCurdy in the morning gave me confidence in taking the car over later. I think the car will be better than before the accident.
Take care, all! See many at the next meet if not sooner!
