Default Headlight washer delete

Hi everyone,
I always hated the look of the headlight washers, and i found online a JDM bumper without them. I know that i can remove all the tubing (see pic), but can i remove the pump too? Or is it necessary for the windshield washers to work? Thanks in advance

Pretty sure item 10 on that diagram is for the headlight washers, 11 is the windscreen. With them being separate you can remove the headlight pump but will need a plug for the hole it leaves in the washer bottle.

Any statuary requirements for headlight washers where the car is registered?

If I am driving in a place that I would actually need to wash the headlights, I have bigger problems than that.

Yes but they surely won't check them...

I was thinking of places with mandatory inspections like the MOT in the UK.

I'm in Italy and while there are inspections, they only check the main things on a vehicle, headlight washers will be the last thing they would check

In Germany they are mandatory and they check them on our regular saftey chek.
Some S2000 drivers here use different, much smaller sized headlight waschers (Sourced from Porsche, Audi, BMW, Alfa Romeo...) to get rid of the bulky OEM ones. Or they simply try to paint them in the matching body colour like honda did on the later years.
That´s maybe also a option.
