Headlight shroud question
I was wondering if the projector shroud can be seperated from the actual headlight insert? Reason why I ask is because I think the black paint can be removed. Underneath that black paint is mostlikely a chrome plastic.
I have a 00 RL and my shifter plate was coated with paint and underneath it was chrome plastic after I used paint remover on it. This has been done on many other car's shifter plate/trim such as accords and TL's.
I'm thinking this can be done to the headlight shroud also. It would make sense production wise, the manufacturers can make the chrome shroud for the jdm headlights and for USDM headlights, all they would need to do is paint it.
If anyone has a broken headlight or access to the shroud, spray some aircraft paint remover on it and see if this idea would work.
If it does, we could possibly have some JDM style USDM headlights =)
