Header gains
would any of you guys know whether to expect gains from the Berk (or any other) header if i already have a K&N FIPK/cooling plate, Megan TP, and HKS Hi-Power? would they be minimal? or if i got it then used a VAFC to maximize my gains would i gain a lot? and also how does an aftermarket header affect the sound?

The effects and gains of the header have been discussed many times. As for the sound after adding a header, it doesn't really change much if any at all. The gains vary in range. I can only speak for my DC Header which I plan on selling and upgrading. People will tell you DC is the worst one to buy. It is very light compared to stock and it smoothed out the rpm band. I never had it dyno'd. I got it for cheap and wanted to customize the engine so thats why I got it. I am waiting to hear about the berk too.
People have posted gains from the very expensive brands down to the megan header, there was an old post that went over several different headers in good detail.

The s2000 comes witha very well engineered header, don't expect much if anything from afetermarket except a hole in your wallet and yes I've tried several and stock suits me best.

[QUOTE=OCMusicJunkie,May 15 2007, 08:30 PM] I don't get how stock can suit anyone best... it's heavier, and most every company shows proven dyno gains of some sort.
