First time this has happened to me. I was on a hilly road, trying to keep a good distance between me and the guy in from of me, trying to avoid exactly what happened. After about five miles, the guy in front of me slows down them pulls off to the side. I could tell that he must have thought I was blinking my lights at him. I slowed down as I passed just to try to give a message I wasn't trying to push him aside. He got mad after I drove by as he tried to catch up to me and ride my tail for a while.

Clearly it was my headlights glaring in his mirror as we went up and down the hills - the appearance to him was that I was flashing my lights. I have heard of this happening to other S2k drivers. The low beams are just so bright when they reflect in the drivers mirror in front of you.

It happens, but sometimes it gets people to move out of the left lane where they're doing all of 50 mph.

Kinda sad some people don't know the difference between a bouncing headlight and a flashing headlight.

In New Jersey, I just drive in the right lane. No one is ever in it. Right lane fast, Left lane pretend to go fast.

i had similar experience too. especially in local when i don't want to do 2nd gear but the 3rd gear makes me staying to close to the car ahead. the combination with headlight very often make people think i'm starting something.

My car is lowered and bounces just a little bit more than normal.....Boy do I piss people off. You have to keep in mind that we must have the brightest HID's on the market. I think even brighter than the Audi's. Last night, I passed another S2k and before I knew what it was I thought it was some Civic w/ his brights on. They really are bright. Really nothing you can do about it. I think I'm going to put BRTLTS on my liscense plate.

I got flashed from on-coming traffic, had to flash my high beams to show that they weren't on. Oh well, I don't care really!

It isn't the brightness, so much as the sharply focused beam. Ever wonder why the rotating beacon on a squad seems to flash when, in fact, it is just a constant light rotating steadily in a circle? The effect is completely due to the focused beam that appears to flash when it passes over your eye. Combined with the tight racing suspension of the S2000, the sharply focused beam of our headlights bounces up and down and repeatedly passes over the onlooker's eyes giving the same flashing effect.

The proof? I was pulled over one night by a trooper who at first thought I was another trooper approaching him with my headlights flashing. When I went by, he realized I was not official and started pursuing.

But, then, he didn't believe my explanation either. Oh well.
