Hawk brake pads are a modified pad?
Does any one have these?
Do the front pads make a clicking sound?
I just heard that these are modified pads not a s2000 specific application? Does anyone know for sure?

I don't believe that Hawk makes a S2000 specific pad. I believe that King uses a Del Sol Hawk pad to make a pad that fits the S2000.
Yes, there is some noise from these as they are a bit smaller than stock. On my car, they make the noise when I first hit the brakes each trip and that is it. They also don't use any shims or grease.

Thanks Guys!!
I'm thinking that I will have to go with something else on the front. I don't want del sol pads on the car, that's for sure!!

Mingster - are ccx and endless the same thing? sorry I'm a little not in the know when it comes to brakes,
I'm going to cancel my order with King since Hawks aren't actually made for the car.
Where can I pick these up??

johev-
The "clicking" sound is pad shift. All pads shift- some more than others- if they don't fit loosely, they don't get off the face of the rotor when the brakes are lifted.
I wouldn't worry about the pads. I've used that exact modified Hawk fitment many times with no problems on the track.

I have OEM on the car now and there is no brake click at all, I really don't want any clicking...I hear ya' that they are fine for track, but I think I'll go with something that is actually designed for the car and not just something made to fit.
I just have to decide whether to go with OEM, Porterfield or what? Endless see pretty pricey from the postings I have been reading over the last half hour or so...
