wow must have been a pretty fat rabbit bending your radiator like that!
Thats the A/C condensor man, the radiator is right behind that and doesn't have any damage thank goodness. Hopefully this doesn't happen again once I get my new front end on.

Peek a booo I see youuuuu

side note - sorry it happened dude, rabbits are the worst they get in your way then run away then last minute run back to then run away and not be hit... just make up your mind, live or die! Killed many in my time but never any damage, even drove over a dead dear when lowered and dragged it in my rear bumper for half a mile before flipping out from behind me at a mate's car ... went up on windscreen he just laughed his ass off!!

Least you didn't panic, drive off the road and do more damage (or it be a larger animal)

A big lesson here is when you see an animal in your lane on the freeway, try to hit that sucker and it'll get out of your way. If you don't then you'll have stew for dinner. Sometimes a dinner is hard to come by.
I agree with this.

I have lived in the country all my life and have to avoid hitting deer, dogs, cats, coyote, racoon, possums on a weekly basis when driving at night.

I learned long ago that if you see an animal on the side of the road you slow down as quickly as possible and honk the horn in short bursts, this has the highest probability of scaring the animal AWAY from the roadway. If you don't slow down chances are good that the darn thing will run right in front of you at the last possible second!

If you see an animal in the road, same principal applies.

Never swerve to avoid an animal as 90% of the time they run in last second before impact anyway. Hitting even a deer is 100X better than swerving, loosing control and wrapping your car around a tree or rolling over.

^ Yeah there are tons of rabbits, deer, coyotes, and skunks on the highway i'm mostly on. This was right by the Kansas/Oklahoma state line and the land is flat as can be, and there are almost no trees, just open fields on either side of me. Its crazy how fast you have to make a decision, and sometimes you do something and think, what the hell did I do that for!? haha. Yeah there was no other cars except for behind me and he was riding pretty close so I didn't want to get rear ended hitting the brakes hard. I swerved very easily not jerking the wheel or anything, and I was originally going 70 and managed to get down to 60 before hitting him. I'm still amazed what damage was done from that thing, I wonder what that truck behind me was thinking when he saw it go in front of me then just dissapeared. I should know by the end of today if i'm going to be able to get an ap2 front to replace mine.

i think i have one of the ac lines laying around somewhere that you're welcome to if you pay shipping. I'll have to check when I get home though. I'm snowed in in Charlotte, NC at the moment.

^ Thanks bud, my insurance is going to cover everything. If I end up having to get it i'll defienetly let you know.

I took it to the body shop earlier and I got an estimate of $1950 to fix everything, and have it installed.

Tell me about it. Well like I said I have a $500 deductible so that is all i'm going to pay.

More good news, they said its okay to get an ap2 front bumper. I'll go ahead and order a lip or something seperately so I can have it in time for paint and everything on the 24th. I guess this is a good thing b/c my ap1 front was chipped pretty good before, this way i'm only paying $500 for an ap2 front freshly painted, and a few new parts with a new charge of refrigerant for this summer.
