Non factory sunroofs are a nightmare from all the stories I have heard about them. Everone I know that has/had experiences with them are all bad. Lots of trouble with them leaking. Although it is a good idea, but I don't think it would look as good with the glass in the middle of the H/T.

Ok from personal experience with 2 other cars with aftermarket sunroofs. You can definetly get a pop-up sliding sunroof as seen in the Eclipse. As far as them being a nightmare, it's like anything else in the aftermarket industry. The installer is the key! I've had ones installed in a 95 Maxima and 95 Passport for over 7 years now, no leaks, no problems at all. Most good brands come with a 10 year guarantee against leaks. So if you had a problem, it's your installer and not the sunroof. Sunroofs need to be properly maintained. It can be done easily if you want an manual one. An automatic one would be nicer but I wonder how you would be able to wire up the power.

The del sol is bad because it's front drive and has 160 hp. I think it would rock. just take a hardtop and cut some t-tops in it. Leave a middle section for rigidity. Better than a sunroof. Except probably no where to store the tops. ???
