Barry WY,

I only kicked myself around the block for 20 years for not buying that SC! If I had just garaged it...

But there is no doubt that the S2000 is a far better car in terms of handling, power, and maintainability. Plus, it's a convertible.

My truck blew up. Until it gets back on the road(which is turning into a MAJOR project... I may post its rebuild just for fun..) the S2000 is my daily driver. I agree that the car is cramped, noisy, rides a bit rough and is a bit tricky to drive in foul weather. This sometimes makes the drive home on a rainy night after a 12 hour work day a bit annoying. But, when the sun comes out, the top goes down and the engine goes all that other stuff is forgotten. I never bought mine as a daily driver. I don't think I would be totally happy with it as a daily driver long term. BUT, this is the most fun toy I have ever imagined owning. It is with me for life.

Sorry you feel that way! To me it was buying 2 cars for 32,000. It feels like a totally different car with the top down.

As for the hot summer days ahead, I actually won't be putting the top down in searing heat. (Too big of a price to pay to look "cool") Come sun down, however, the top is dropped!

adb280z: It's not clear what exactly you don't like about the S. What were you driving before? Beware, though, on this board criticism of this car is not taken very well and people start making personal attacks at you instead of having a cool headed argument. Also, like someone else mentioned those who did not like the car got rid of it so they are not here to tell their story. I know at least 2 guys who sold their car and got an A4 and a 350Z.

There are days, not just in winter, when I hate this car. I normally post about that on my regional board where I know who I'm talking to and they try to help with usefull ideas instead of bashing.

Peace!
