Default Has anyone dealt with Coastal Metals before?

I ordered an OEM Lip Protector from him 2 weeks ago and during the time of order, he said he'd have it shipped and it would arrive by this past weekend (03/31)...but I called and he said that it's still being manufactured and that he had been out of town for the past week??

Can anyone vouch for his business? BTW, he already charged my CC, I checked. Maybe his business is on a build-as-ordered basis??

Thanks for the help folks. I'm not trying to put a dent in Coastal Metals' reputation, I just want to know if it's normal for a long wait like this with somewhat shady reasons/excuses.

Thanks.

I'm in Canada and I've bought stuff from axcilla (David) and you're a lot closer than I am. Don't worry, he'll come through. Building stuff for our car is a sideline and not his main business. I know sometimes he won't approve of some of the raw material that he gets to build these protectors.

coastal metals gets from me both service and products. I have my front grill on for 2 years now and never had a problem with it, still looks new (sorta). I wish they'd make new products though.

Agree I bought two grills from them (black and stainless) and they had some fantastic S2000 clothing until Honda got nasty about the S2000 logo. Wish they would make more items too.

I have both the front grill and the lip protector. Quality products and good service for a small company. I would order from them again, no reservations

Yup, front grille and lip protector. Great quality, and I have no complaints with the service.
I suspect you just need to give them a bit more time, believe me, the stuff is worth waiting for.

I sent inquires last week thru both their web site and e-mail about availability for a MY04 lip protector and haven't received a reply yet. Maybe this is one of those times all of us experience when we become unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
