that strip is supposed to come with the hardtop....
not having the strip there will not give the type of noise that was complained about.
it IS an adjustment issue.....

Just read your thread Rick, great find . Just checked my hardtop now & found out i have this problem also, although i really never experienced this annoying wind noise you guys are talking about. Instead once in awhile i get a creaking noise on the passenger side's roof of the hardtop(this seems to disappear after the top has settled & been on for 1-2 weeks). Anyways how much is the part to fix this problem? Will the warranty pay for it?

i'm sorry if you have hardtop issues as well, but don't blame the lack of that little strip..........
liquid215 also states he has the "same problem", but not the "annoying wind noise you guys are talking about"..........
there's more than one way to skin a cat, pal..........
(sorry, i feel as though you are mis-interpreting my post...no flame intended)

liquid215, yes, this is a warranty issue and Honda will fix the problem with no charge to you.

I have yet to discover what is causing the wind noise. My car is an 02 and it has the gap on the drivers side as well (as shown in the pics). The side window weatherstripping on the hardtop does not sit down in the weatherstripping attached to the car perfectly. The passenger side matches perfectly. It looks as though the hardtop on the drivers side needs to shift forward, but I cannot seem to get it to move forward. I am curious as to what this corrective part is.
Can anyone describe where your bolts are located in the rear brackets? As close to the front/top as possible, rear/bottom, etc?
